OPEN HOUSE

International artists exhibiting their work at SÍM Residency

Open House date – October 22nd 2026, 5:00 – 8:00 PM

📍 Location: Seljavegur 32, 101 Reykjavík

SÍM Residency warmly invites you to an Open House at Seljavegur 32, where visitors are welcome to discover the work of artists participating in the international SÍM Residency programme.

The evening offers an opportunity to explore the artists’ work, meet them in person, and share conversations about their creative practices, ideas, and experiences of living and working in Iceland.

Bringing together artists from diverse cultural, geographical, and creative backgrounds, the SÍM Residency programme fosters an international community in Reykjavík, encouraging exchange, dialogue, and new perspectives across disciplines and experiences.

The Open House presents a selection of works by artists connected to the residency, offering a glimpse into the richness and diversity of their practices. Through a variety of approaches, materials, and ideas, the works reflect each artist’s individual perspective and creative journey.

More than an opportunity to experience art, the Open House is an invitation to connect, exchange ideas, and get to know the people behind the work. Visitors are encouraged to meet the artists, hear the stories and inspirations behind their practices, and discover how time spent in Reykjavík and engagement with an international artistic community can shape new ideas, connections, and creative possibilities.

We look forward to welcoming you for an evening of art, conversation, and exchange.
