OPEN HOUSE

International artists exhibiting their work at SÍM Residency

Open House date – September 24th 2026, 5:00 – 8:00 PM

📍 Location: Seljavegur 32, 101 Reykjavík

SÍM Residency warmly invites you to an Open House at Seljavegur 32, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the work of artists who have participated in the international SÍM Residency programme.

The evening is a chance to explore the artists’ work, meet them in person, and engage in conversation about their practices, ideas, and experiences during their time in Iceland.

The Open House brings together a diverse group of artists from different cultural, geographical, and creative backgrounds. Through the SÍM Residency programme, artists develop their practices within an international community in Reykjavík, fostering exchange and dialogue across disciplines, perspectives, and lived experiences.

The Open House presents a selection of works by artists connected to the residency, offering an insight into the breadth and diversity of their practices. The works reflect a wide range of approaches, interests, materials, and perspectives, shaped by each artist’s individual practice and experience.

Beyond the artworks themselves, the Open House creates a welcoming space for meeting and exchange. Visitors are invited to speak directly with the artists, learn more about the ideas and experiences behind their work, and discover how their practices have developed through international exchange and time spent in Reykjavík.

SÍM Residency looks forward to welcoming you.
