Workshops

SIM Residency artists are able to use all the equipment at our partners' workshops. Availability and payment needs to be arranged directly with workshop staff.

The Icelandic Printmaker’s Association

The Icelandic Printmaker’s Association, now close to 100 members, was originally established in 1954 and now runs its own gallery and studio in the center of Reykjavik.

Ceramic Society

The Icelandic Ceramic Society offers a ceramic workshop for rent at Korpúlfsstaðir. There is room for two people to work in the workshop at each time. (2 rented places).

Rætur þráðlistar liggja djúpt í íslenskri menningu. Öld fram af öld hafa Íslendingar unnið með þráð og voð. Það var neyðin sem kenndi naktri konu að spinna fyrr á öldum en í dag er það forvitnin, þekkingarþorstinn og sköpunarþörfin sem hvetur okkur áfram.

Reykjavik Sculpture Association

The workshops of the Sculpture Association of Reykjavik is divided into woodworkshop and metalworkshop. The woodworkshop is 200m².
For non fellows the fee fo the week is 20.000 ISK kr.
