Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme

Open call for Nordic/Baltic Artists for January 2023 

The SÍM Residency, Reykjavik, Iceland inviting artists/curators from Nordic/Baltic countries to apply for the granted one-month Artist-in-Residence Programme for January 2023. 

Who can apply?

One-month residency for January 2023 granted by Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme (support for artists residencies) for artists living in the Nordic/Baltic area. Artists must be located in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Norway, Sweden, Åland) or the Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) and the invited artist should have a permanent address in one of these countries. However, the invited artists don't need Nordic or Baltic nationality. Artists living in Iceland cannot apply for the residency program.

* the personal application data and conceptual project proposal in the Application form will only be visible and accessible by SIM Residency staff and the SIM's Experts’ Committee due to the application evaluation and selection procedure. Your data are processed and stored safely under EU General Data Protection Regulations and will not be passed on to third parties. 

Deadline:

31st of August 2022

Applicants will be notified of the committee's decision within 3 weeks of the deadline.

Artist's CV

A bachelor's degree in fine arts or similar qualification is required.

Similar qualifications can be for example Design, Architecture, Photography, Art History, Filmmaking . . .

Short project description (max. 400 words)

Your project proposal will be decisive.

Upload 3 images max 10MB in total. If your files are too big, use Iloveimg to compress them without quality loss.

*presented images and video links can be from the past, current, or future projects as a helpful visual direction for experts to understand your art project proposal.
