Threshold Ecologies
Threshold Ecologies is a site-specific mixed-media installation that traces the echoes and textures of Iceland’s dynamic landscapes. Composed of video, field recordings, and found materials gathered across diverse natural sites, the work reflects on how the environment is continually shaped by fragility, motion, and change.
Through the interweaving of moving image, sound, and material presence, the installation mirrors the instability of Iceland’s evolving ecologies, where memory and place are continually rewritten. In these liminal zones and sonic in-betweens, Threshold Ecologies invites new modes of attention—ones attuned not to permanence, but to the delicate, often imperceptible movements of a land in transition.
