Material/Immateriality incorporates visible, active geological processes and elemental forces to register time and erosion through an engagement of materials drawn directly from Icelandic terrain: lava, ash, peat, wool, black sand, porcelain and geothermal clay. These works on paper locate the ecological and cultural politics of Iceland's particular volatility— as physical residue and the loss it signifies, become inseparable.
