"erratic"

While we find ourselves puzzled in an attempt to grasp the scale and wonder of glaciers, few words appear as the afterimages of these landscapes. Could the words keep the memory and temperature of the lost ice? How long does it take for a word to melt? How to keep moving under the weight of our thoughts?

In the small-scale installation the audience is invited to read through the set of cards (“thoughts on thaw”), observe the miniature sculpture (“dead ice”) and tune into the stone clock accompanying the loss of glacial ice (“erratic”).
