Deforestation is one of the main ecological disasters that affect all of us and is becoming more and more alarming. I see it mainly in my native country. As a multimedia artist, I try to work with this topic and bring it closer to people. Iceland lost almost all its forests in the past due to human intervention. I found it fascinating to connect these two worlds through the woods. I brought to Iceland from Slovakia video footage of Slovak forests and then projected them onto the bare Icelandic hills after dark. I tried to make projections on a large part of Iceland, emphasized in multimedia installations.
