Çaglar worked in South Kivu region of Democratic Republic of Congo, a region in perpetual conflict for assisting survivors of violence and diseases. She also documented the country’s nature, the world's second-biggest tropical forest, which presents the local community a great deal of life/death challenges. Later on, she worked on this photographic material through creation of metal and fine art prints.

This work explores the threshold between fine art and documentary photography, especially showing how daily life, socio-political context and landscape are intertwined. Nature acts as a metaphor for macro ideas of impermanence and uncanny, accompanied by daily joys and sorrows.
